Marple Methodist Church.

There are two memorial plaques in Marple Methodist Church commemorating the fallen from the Great War. The Primitive Church plaque was moved here when the chapel on Market Street was demolished in the early 1960's.

Trinity Methodist Church Plaque

A rectangular plaque with moulded Corinthian pilasters at either end, the names of the dead appear on central shield, with those who served and returned listed underneath.

Poynton War Memorial

Poynton's War Memorial is sited in the grounds of St.George's Church, on the junction of London Road South and Chester Road.

Woodford Christchurch Graveyard

The graveyard of Christchurch in Woodford has 10 Commonwealth War Graves and several family memorials. One of the graves is that of the Bayley brothers, Bertram and Vernon, who died in 1917 two days apart.
