Hazel Grove War Memorial

In a Memorial garden between The A6, London Road and Argyle Street, next to the Wilfred Wood (named after a local V.C. holder).



The main inscription on the front reads.


ERECTED TO THE
ENDURING MEMORY
OF THE MEN OF
HAZEL GROVE
WHO DIED FOR
THEIR COUNTRY IN
THE GREAT WARS.
1914-1918
1939-1945


the rear panel reads.
AT
THE GOING DOWN
OF THE SUN
AND
IN THE MORNING
WE WILL
REMEMBER THEM.


The other panels list the names of those who fell in the Great War 1914-1918.
