Barrow-in-Furness, Cemetery Cottages Street Shrine

A limestone plaque mounted on the Oak Street wall of number 2 Beech Street, Barrow-in-Furness, commemorating the Fallen from Cemetery Cottages during the Great War.

THIS MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED BY THE KINSFOLK AND FRIENDS OF THE MEN OF
CEMETERY COTTAGES WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY
IN HONOUR OF THEIR NOBLE SACRIFICE IN A JUST AND RIGHTEOUS CAUSE
